L4 Improvement Practitioner - (Green Belt Six Sigma Level)

What you’ll learn on the improvement practitioner apprenticeship

You will learn how to use a blend of Lean and Six Sigma, project and change management principles and tools to identify and lead the delivery of change across organisational functions and processes. Improvement practitioners can be found amongst all sectors and functions including automotive, banking, engineering, manufacturing, IT, property, retail and telecommunications.

Why you’ll learn it

You will learn it to identify potential opportunities – diagnosing issues, proposing solutions and implementing changes and controls. You will learn to coach teams, share best practice and manage small teams, ensuring motivation and momentum.

What does the programme consist of?

The programme will be based around the relevant apprenticeship standard but built around the clear objectives and goals of your job and the general development of the business. You will also get a L2 Functional Skills qualification in maths and English if you do not already have those qualification equivalents.

How will it help the individual?

It will help the individual develop essential leadership skills in decision-making techniques. Project management, business cases, risk analysis and management are core topics. It will help the learner develop skills for a senior role within project management and help to develop the skills needed to progress into a senior role in project management or Lean and Six Sigma methodology.

How will it help the business?

It will help to develop a senior team of practitioners to lead projects in change management of Lean and Six Sigma and supports change across organisational functions and processes. Ideal for those leading smaller projects and offering supporting roles in larger projects that may require in-depth analysis and implementation. Improved communication with stakeholders and senior management will result.
