Libra Europe Consulting sponsor Novus to support the next generation of Supply Chain professionals

We are delighted to announced that LEC will become a sponsor to the NOVUS Supply Chain programme for the 2019-20 academic year.

NOVUS is a not-for-profit organisation operating under the umbrella of The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in the UK (CILT (UK)). CILT (UK) is the membership organisation for professionals involved in the movement of goods and people and their associated supply chains. NOVUS is entirely funded by over 20 sponsor organisations and, alongside NOVUS Operations Manager Bethany Fovargue, is led by a steering committee formed of sponsor personnel who contribute their time and expertise to the programme without charge.

NOVUS works with leading universities to provide students studying business, logistics and supply chain degrees with guest lectures, mentoring & career coaching, placements for summer and a third year, year-long industrial placements, whilst also guaranteeing graduate employment. In addition to providing programme direction and expertise, this industrial support and interaction is provided by the sponsor organisations, of which LEC are now one.

Michael Carson, LEC Head of Analysis and NOVUS lead commented,

NOVUS is a fantastic programme that is really adding value to the supply chain industry in raising the skill level and starting to bridge the skills gap. As a supply chain professional myself, the core principles behind NOVUS resonate with me and as an organisation, the values, beliefs and approach are very much aligned to LEC. Getting involved with NOVUS was a ‘no-brainer’ for us - we feel we can add real value and experience to students over years to come and undoubtedly get a lot back from interacting with fellow sponsors and students alike
