Privacy Notice

A plain-English explanation of what personal data we collect on this website, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

The short version

When you send us an enquiry, we keep what you tell us so we can reply.

We measure how our websites are used with our own tool, without cookies unless you accept one. We don't use advertising trackers, and we never sell or share your data with advertisers.

We store it in the UK and keep it for 24 months. To ask what we hold, or to have it deleted, email privacy@libraeurope.com.

Who we are

Libra Europe Consulting Ltd (“Libra Europe”, “we”) runs this website, libraeurope.com, and is the controller of the personal data described here. We are an operational implementation consultancy for manufacturing, supply chain and logistics businesses in the UK. Our product sites and demos have their own privacy pages, which describe our measurement in the same way.

What we collect

Enquiries

When you send us an enquiry or book a call, we keep what you tell us to reply to you: your name, email address, company, your message, the product you asked about and the page you sent it from.

When you apply for a job, we keep your application, CV and covering note to consider you for the role.

How we measure our websites

We measure how our websites, product sites and demos are used with our own tool, Libra Analytics. It does not use cookies unless you accept them, and it does not share anything with advertisers or other third parties. We count visits from a code made from your IP address and browser that changes every day and cannot be traced back to you; we do not store your IP address. We record the pages you view, how long they are in front of you, how far you scroll and which links you press.

Personal links

When we write to you, by letter, email or LinkedIn, the link or QR code we send may carry a personal code. If you use it, we know the visit was yours and we can see the pages you read on our sites, so that we follow up on what interests you. We do this because it is in our legitimate interests to understand whether our approach to your business is useful; we never use it to make decisions about you automatically, and you can ask us to stop at any time.

The optional cookie

If you accept cookies, we set one first-party cookie, la_id, for 12 months, so we recognise your browser if you come back without the link. Declining has no effect on how the site works. Your browser's Global Privacy Control signal counts as declining. You can change your answer at any time on our cookie policy page.

Our lawful bases

  • Enquiries: our legitimate interests in replying to the people who contact us, or the steps you ask us to take before we work together.
  • Measurement and personal links: our legitimate interests in understanding whether our business-to-business approach reaches the right people, and in following up interest from people we have contacted at work. What we record is limited to our own sites, nothing is shared or sold, and you can object at any time.
  • The optional cookie: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • Job applications: the steps you ask us to take before we might employ you.

How long we keep it

Our measurement data is kept for 24 months and then deleted; totals that do not identify anyone are kept. Enquiries are kept for the same 24 months, unless we go on to work together.

Where it is stored

It is stored in the UK (London): the website runs on Vercel in London, our measurement data is held in a Neon database in London, and our email is Libra's own Microsoft 365.

Who we share it with

We don't share anything with advertisers, and we never sell personal data. A small number of suppliers process it for us, under contract and only on our instructions:

  • Vercel hosts this website and our measurement tool.
  • Neon hosts the database our measurement data is kept in.
  • Microsoft provides our email and Microsoft 365, where enquiries arrive.
  • Resend delivers the emails sent from our contact and application forms.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict how we use it, or for a copy to take elsewhere. You can object to our measurement and personal links at any time, and we will stop. To object, or to ask what we hold or for it to be deleted, email privacy@libraeurope.com.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
